The following restaurants are just a few of the nice places to eat in Tegucigalpa. Each can accommodate large groups but reservations need to be made advance. We will be happy to assist with those reservations. (The prices given are an average.)

Honduran restaurants

• El Porcao is located in Colonia Palmira near the French Embassy.  It's very nice, has pig memorabilia everywhere, has good service and good food -- pork, beef, chicken, fish, shrimp as well as typical Honduran food.    $10-$15

• El Corral  specializes in steaks and the menu also includes chicken, fish, shrimp and typical Honduran food.    $12- $18

• El Patio is fun and loud, with a mariachi band, and specializes in "pinchos" which are huge kabobs of chicken, beef, shrimp, etc.  Each table is also served appetizers of typical Honduran food: cheese and bean dips, chips, etc., etc.  (If you want to go before 5:00 p.m., you can sometimes get a 2 for 1 deal!)    $12 - $15

American restaurants

• Chili's  is located on the same corner as the Clarion

• Ruby Tuesday is located on Boulevard San Juan Bosco

• TGI Friday  is located inside Mall Multiplaza & near El Patio

• Tony Roma's  is located near Mall Multiplaza

• Fast Food -- McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s Pizza Hut, Little Caesar's, Church's Fried Chicken, Subway, and others are located in Mall Las Cascadas (near Baxter) and Mall Multiplaza as well as other locations around the city.

La Cumbre This is an Austrian restaurant.  It is located above the city in the area of El Hatillo and has a million dollar view, excellent food, great service and nice music.   $20 - $25

PalacioReal   is a wonderful Chinese restaurant located on Boulevard San Juan Bosco near Hotel Marriott. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food great (The portions are very large and can be shared  by 2 people.  Also available are "family" meals).  $6 - $12 

*The following nice, sit-down restaurants are located directly below the regular Food Court in Mall Las Cascadas, 1 mile from Baxter's front gate:

•  Tony's Mar  Serving all types of seafood and fish, including ceviche, octapus, snails, etc.
• Ni Fu Ni Fa An Argentinian restaurant specializing in great steaks, as well as seafood, etc.  They have a nice salad bar.
• El Fogoncito Serving Mexican food
• Pizza Hut
