The CELO program at Baxter extends the outreach of Baxter Institute into almost all of the Spanish-speaking world. CELO courses (Cursos de Extension para Lideres y Obreros--Courses of Extension for Leaders and Workers) allow students to study at Baxter without attending the resident program. These extension courses are currently distributed as written correspondence courses which are returned for grading and evaluation. In the near future, CELO will add an online component to extend the reach of Baxter into all the world even further.
Each year, the number of persons who complete the CELO program far exceeds the number who graduate from the more intensive resident program. Baxter is literally "going into all the world" with this effort.
