We are in the second week of an experiment in providing daycare at the clinic. We have remodeled the former lunchroom into a classroom and Zonia de Rosa is the teacher. She began last week with one child, but today had about 10 children. We are providing 2 meals and 2 snacks per day for the children. The program is a natural integration with the Nutrition Program so that the single mothers who have had their vocational training can go to work and leave their children in a safe, loving environment. The purpose of the program is to teach the children and encourage spiritual and intellectual growth.
