| Dear Steven,
We are getting ready to begin another year at Baxter Institute and JMA Clinic. As we prepare to welcome our students back to Baxter and meet the new students, we can't help but feel sad that two of our own will not be with us. The death of Gerardo Flores in December and Jorge Quiroz in January caused us all to realize that life is precious and time is fleeting. (You can click on the names above for details.)
We also were saddened to hear that former member of the board of directors and long time Houston Mayor, Louie Welch passed away on Sunday January 27th. Those of you who knew Brother Welch will always remember his great passion for living and his love of people and service. The Association Amicus board is setting up a Louie Welch Scholarship Fund. If you would like to contribute to this fund, send a check to Westover Hills Church of Christ and note that it is for this scholarship fund.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. God is so good and has blessed all of us incredibly. |
